Terms of Service

1. Who you are contracting with

Extension Watch is operated by an individual sole proprietor based in mainland China. Contact is by email at [email protected]. Creem acts as Merchant of Record and is the seller of record for every purchase.

In practice that means two relationships. The operator provides the service described below. Creem takes the payment, handles VAT and invoicing, and is the seller on the transaction; Creem’s own terms apply to the payment itself. Every request about either one — billing, cancellation, refunds, the service — goes to [email protected], which is the only contact channel.

2. What the service is

Free, with no account required:

• A lookup for any Chrome extension’s requested permissions, explained plainly.
• WordPress plugin maintenance status pages.
• Aggregate research reports.

Extension Watch, the paid subscription, does this and only this today:

• Records one snapshot per day of your Chrome extension: install count, star rating, review count, version, and a hash of the requested permissions.
• Records the same daily snapshot for up to 5 competitor extensions you name.
• Displays the accumulated days as a chart.

Alerting on movement is unfinished. It is not running, it is not included, and it is not promised on a date. If and when it ships, these terms will be updated to describe it. Daily recording began on 16 September 2026 and nothing before that date exists to show you.

3. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to subscribe. The free pages need no account. If you subscribe on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to commit that company to these terms.

4. Price, billing and renewal

Extension Watch costs USD $29 per month. The charge recurs monthly until the subscription is cancelled. Creem takes the payment as Merchant of Record and handles VAT and invoicing, so the total you are shown at checkout, and any tax added to it, comes from Creem.

If the price changes, subscribers are told by email at the address on the account before a changed amount is charged. You can cancel instead of accepting it.

5. Cancellation

There is no self-serve cancellation link in the account or in a billing email. Cancellation is by email to [email protected]. It is honoured immediately on receipt and stops the next charge. You do not have to give a reason.

Cancelling stops future charges. If you also want the charge you have already paid returned, the refund policy in section 6 covers it.

6. Refunds

A full refund is available on request within 14 days of any charge, no reason required. Refunds are issued through Creem to the original payment method.

Ask by email at [email protected]. This wording is the same on the pricing page, and it is the whole policy. Any statutory right to cancel or be refunded under the law where you live is in addition to this and is not displaced by it.

7. Acceptable use

• One subscription is for one subscriber. Do not share account access or resell it.
• Do not try to reach another user’s account or data, and do not interfere with the service, its authentication, or its hosting.
• Do not run automated bulk requests against the site beyond ordinary use of the pages.
• Do not use anything recorded here to harass, defame, or mislead anyone about an extension or its developer. Section 9 is part of this rule.
• Do not use the service for anything unlawful where you are.

The operator may suspend or end an account for a serious or repeated breach, and will say why by email. If that happens within 14 days of a charge, the refund policy in section 6 still applies to that charge.

8. Accuracy, and the service as it is

Everything shown about third-party software comes from public sources: Chrome Web Store listing pages, and the official WordPress.org API for plugins. The accuracy of what you see depends on those sources, and the operator does not control them.

• Install counts are rounded at the source. The Chrome Web Store publishes install counts in rounded buckets rather than exact figures. A snapshot records the rounded figure that was published that day, so real movement inside a bucket is invisible and the line only steps when the published bucket itself changes. Read an install chart as steps between buckets, never as an exact user count.
• A snapshot is one reading per day. Anything that changes and changes back between two readings is not captured.
• If a listing page cannot be read on a given day, that day can be missing from the chart. Gaps are not evidence that a number stayed flat.
• Ratings, review counts and versions are recorded as they were displayed, including any rounding the store applies to them.

The service is provided as is and as available. The operator does not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free, that any figure is complete or exact, or that the service is fit for a particular purpose. Nothing here is legal, security, or business advice, and decisions you take from these numbers are yours.

9. Permission data describes capability, not conduct

The free permission lookup, and the permission hash in each daily snapshot, describe what an extension asks Chrome for the ability to do. Capability is not conduct. A broad permission is not evidence that an extension has done anything wrong, and nothing on this site is an accusation against any extension, publisher, or developer.

A change in the permission hash means the requested set of permissions changed. It does not say why it changed, and it does not say the change was harmful. Do not quote or republish anything from this site as a finding of misconduct. That use is a breach of section 7.

10. Your data

The privacy policy is the full account. In summary, the account data held is your user id, email, subscription status, the list of extensions you track, and the alert records the database is built to hold — the alerting feature that would fill them is not built. There is no analytics script, no tracking pixel, no advertising cookie, and no third-party tracker anywhere on the site.

These sub-processors are used, each for one job:

Where the data sits. Your account data is processed in the United States, in Supabase’s US East region, while the operator is in mainland China and accesses it from there. No formal transfer mechanism has been put in place for that movement, and this is stated as a plain fact so you can decide with it in hand. Resend’s processing region is not established, so none is claimed here.

Keeping and deleting. Account data is held while the account exists and is deleted on request. No fixed retention period has been set, so none is claimed here. Deletion does not reach everything: Cloudflare’s standard server logs, and the transaction and tax records Creem keeps as seller of record, sit outside the operator’s control.

Your rights. You can ask for access to your data, its rectification, its erasure, portability of it, and you can object to processing. You can also complain to a data protection authority. Requests go to [email protected] and are answered as quickly as the operator can, with a target of 30 days.

11. Changes to the service

The service may change. Features can be added, altered, or removed, and the paid service may be discontinued. Subscribers are told by email at the address on the account before a change that materially reduces what the subscription does, and before the paid service is discontinued.

If the paid service is discontinued while you are subscribed, future charges stop. A charge taken within the previous 14 days is refundable under section 6.

12. Changes to these terms

An updated version is published on this page with a new last-updated date. Subscribers are told by email before a change that affects what they pay or what they receive takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the updated terms; if you do not, cancel by email, and section 6 covers a charge taken within the previous 14 days.

13. Liability

So far as the law where you live allows it, the operator’s total liability to you for all claims connected with the service is limited to the amount you actually paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim arose. The operator is not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business or opportunity, or for the consequences of decisions taken on the basis of recorded data, including a number that was missing, delayed, or rounded at its source.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing in them removes a mandatory consumer right you hold under the law of the country you live in.

14. Governing law

The operator is an individual sole proprietor established in mainland China, and these terms are governed by the law of that place. That is a statement of where the operator sits, not an attempt to take anything from you: the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country you live in continue to apply, and you may bring a claim wherever the law of your own country lets you. Creem is the seller of record for the payment itself, and Creem’s own terms govern that transaction.

15. Contact

Email [email protected]. It is the only contact channel, and it is read. Use it for support, billing questions, cancellation, refunds, and data requests.
