Open your extension’s listing right now and you get one install count and one star rating — the current ones. There is no history, no trend, and nothing at all about the extensions ranking beside you. If your rating slipped last Tuesday, the store will never tell you.
Extension Watch
- Daily history of your extension. Installs, rating and review count recorded every day, kept as a chart you can actually read a trend off.
- Up to 5 competitors, same data. The numbers the store refuses to put side by side.
- Alerts when something moves. Your rating drops, a rival ships a new version, or a new one-star review lands.
- Permission diffs. If a competitor quietly starts requesting access to all websites, you hear about it.
Read this before you pay
The history starts on 16 September 2026. Daily recording began that day and covers 363312 extensions. Nobody, including me, can go back and reconstruct what the store displayed last month — so a chart is only as long as the time since tracking began. Today that is days, not months.
Alerts and the competitor view are being built now. If you subscribe at this stage you are paying early and getting an unfinished product, and the honest reason to do it is that you want the history for your extension to start as early as possible.

Where the numbers come from
Everything is read from the public Chrome Web Store listing pages — the same figures you see, captured daily and kept. Install counts are the store’s own rounded buckets, so small day-to-day movements within a bucket are invisible; ratings and review counts are exact. Permission data comes from each extension’s published manifest.
